The Israelites atone for their sin of worshiping another god. Yahweh promises to travel with the Israelites to his promised land. Yahweh appears in Moses’s tent and explains how he will reveal himself.
Exodus 32: The Golden Calf
While Moses was on the mountain with Yahweh, the Israelites reverted back to their old gods. Moses returns and commands the true believers to purge the camp of disbelievers. Yahweh sends a plague on the remaining disbelievers.

Yahweh gives instructions to create and altar and a courtyard for the tabernacle. He also commands Aaron and is descendants to maintain the oil lamps.

Yahweh gives Moses instructions to create a tabernacle.
Exodus 25: Offerings for the Tabernacle
Yahweh instructs the Israelites to donate materials for the tabernacle.
Exodus 24: The Covenant Confirmed
Yahweh tells Moses to bring the elders of Israel to meet him on Mount Sinai. Moses has the Israelites make offerings. Moses and Joshua go onto the mountain and stay 40 days and 40 nights.
